You are not obliged to disclose your TFN but you may pay more tax than you need to. Refer to the Product Disclosure Statement for more information on how we use your TFN and the implications of not providing your TFN.

Why should I provide my TFN?

  • You won't pay more tax than you need to. We may otherwise be required to withhold tax on your behalf.

Where can I find my TFN?

If you already have a TFN and don't remember the number, you can find it online in ATO online services via your MyGov account. Or, if you've lodged a tax return, you can usually find it on your income tax Notice of Assessment.
